POSITIONS REQUIRED

  • Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer

A: FACULTY OF SCIENCE & COMPUTING

  1. Department of Applied Sciences: B.Sc. Microbiology, B.Sc. Biochemistry, Sc. Forensic Science.
  2. Department of Computing & Information Science: B.Sc. Computer Science, BSc. Software Engineering, Sc. Cyber Security, B.Sc. Information Systems.

B: FACULTY OF SOCIAL & MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

  1. Department of Accounting & Finance: Sc. Accounting, BSc. Finance & Investment Studies, B.Sc. Taxation.
  2. Department of Business Administration: Business Administration, BSc. Actuarial Science.
  3. Department of Social Sciences: BSc. Economics & Development Studies, Mass Communication, BSc. Criminology & Security Studies.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. PROFESSOR – Candidates should possess a PhD Degree in the appropriate discipline applied for with at least fifteen (15) years of full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a Candidates must possess twenty-four (24) scholarly publications, 40% of which must be in international journals. Candidates must also have at least six (6) conference papers and attended ten (10) academic conferences. In addition, candidates should possess sufficient administrative experience in the university system either as Director, Head of Department, Dean, etc
  2. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR – As in (1) above, but with twelve (12) years teaching and research experience in a university, eighteen (18) scholarly publications, 40% of which must be in international journals. Candidates must have at least four (4) conference papers and attended seven (7) academic conferences. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative
  3. SENIOR LECTURER – As in (1) above, but with nine (9) years teaching and research experience in a university, twelve (12) scholarly publications, 40% of which must be in international journals. Candidates must have presented at least three (3) conference papers and attended five

(5) academic conferences. Prospective candidates are also expected to have sufficient administrative experience.

            LECTURER I –The candidate must have a PhD degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus six (6) years teaching experience

  1. and not less than nine (9) journal publications all of which must have been Also, candidates must have at least two (2) conference proceedings and attended at least three (3) conferences.
  2.  II – PhD or Masters with three (3) years teaching experience, three (3) journal publications, one conference paper and two academic
  3. ASSISTANT LECTURER – Candidates should possess a Master’s degree with at least two (2) years of teaching and research experience in a university.

  • Applicants for the post of Professor and Associate Professor should forward one (1) bound copy of their publications to the Registrar Prime University Abuja.
