
Prime University, Abuja, had on Monday, 23rd June, 2025, held its first-ever matriculation ceremony, officially welcoming its pioneer students in a memorable and exciting event at the University’s Law Auditorium.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Moussa Mahamat Boukar, described the occasion as a historic milestone and encouraged the new students to pursue academic excellence, innovation, and integrity.


Prof. Moussa also unveiled the university’s expansion plans, including the launch of a new City Campus by September 2025, and the establishment of a Faculty of Nursing and Public Health at the second campus in Kuje.
He further announced that the Faculty of Law has received full approval from the Council of Legal Education, and that three new undergraduate programs — B.Sc. International Relations & Diplomacy, B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence, and B.Sc. Data Science — will commence in the next academic session.
The event was attended by members of the Governing Council, Senate, JAMB representatives, parents, and other distinguished guests.
