Biography

Ms. Ukachukwu is an emerging scholar and researcher in the field of Biotechnology, with a strong academic background and growing contributions to environmental and biological sciences. She earned her B.Sc. in Botany from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (2016), and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (2023).

Her postgraduate research centered on the application of technological approaches in biological systems and living organisms to create sustainable solutions for human well-being. Specifically, her thesis explored critical aspects of Environmental Biotechnology, with particular emphasis on the bioavailability and genotoxicity of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons on edible vegetables. Her findings highlighted the dynamic relationship between humans and their environment, underscoring the concept of balance and mutual impact.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Ms. Chidinma has contributed to the body of scientific knowledge through her publications in environmentally related journals, including collaborative works as a co-author. She has also participated actively in conferences, workshops, and seminars, broadening her expertise while strengthening her research and teaching capacities.

Her professional affiliations reflect her dedication to continuous growth in the sciences. She is a member of the National Association of Botany Students (NABOS), the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN), and the Organization of Women in Science in the Developing World (OWSD).

Through her teaching, research, and academic engagements, Ms. Chidinma Ukachukwu continues to demonstrate her commitment to advancing knowledge in Biotechnology and addressing pressing environmental challenges through innovative and sustainable approaches.
