Dr. Cross Ogohi Daniel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration and is currently the Director of Academic planning at Prime University Abuja. Formerly a staff and Head of Department of Public Administration/Banking & Finance at Nile University of Nigeria. While at Nile University of Nigeria, he was awarded among the top ten best researchers/scholars of the University (2023), best employee of the year (fy,2023 employee recognition and rewards), lecturer with the highest number of publications for faculty of management sciences (2018). He is a seasoned Business Management expert with over 16 years of experience. He holds a PhD degree in management, from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2015), as his highest qualification. He is a member and fellow of professional bodies, corporate administration of Nigeria (2009), certified institute of management (2011), and institute of professional managers and administrators of Nigeria (2012). He teaches business management courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has supervised ten completed PhD student’s thesis, one hundred and fifty-four MPhil/MSc/ MBA/PGD students’ dissertations, and two hundred and two undergraduate students’ projects within the field of business management He is widely published in reputable national and international journals with over 150 publications and more than 10 Scopus journals. Also, more than 1400 researchers/scholars have cited his publications on Google scholar globally. His research interests are management thoughts and philosophy, human resource management, quantitative techniques for management, leadership theory and practice, organizational adaptation and feasibility, entrepreneurship development, organizational behavior, strategic management, and research methods. He is a distinguished academic author and researcher, renowned for his extensive contributions to the fields of business, economics, and development studies. His recent publications have garnered significant attention, particularly his work on corporate social responsibility, community development, and the socio-economic impacts of workplace diversity and employee retention practices in Nigeria. In 2023, he published two influential papers in the WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics: “Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Community Development in Bayelsa State” and “Behavioural Factors Effect on Investors’ Investment Performance: A Survey from the Nigerian Capital Market.” These studies provide critical insights into the role of corporate initiatives in fostering community growth and the psychological factors influencing investment decisions in the Nigerian capital market. His 2022 publications further underscore his expertise and research versatility. Notable works include “Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Internally Displaced Persons in North East, Nigeria” and “Effect of Workplace Diversity on Employee Performance in DSIBS in Nigeria,” both published in the WSEAS Transactions on Environment and Development. Additionally, his research on “Employee Retention Practices and the Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria” and “Structural Change and Employee Satisfaction of Privately-Owned Hotels in Nigeria,” published in the WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics, highlight the critical factors influencing organizational performance and employee satisfaction in various sectors. His scholarly contributions extend to the International Journal of Manpower, where he explored “how social capital and self-esteem shape career success among women in a patriarchal African society: the case of Nigeria.” His empirical study on “Effect of Female Entrepreneurial Experience on Start-Ups of Educational Institutions: An Empirical Study of North-Central Nigeria” further demonstrates his commitment to understanding and promoting gender equity and entrepreneurial success in educational contexts.
