Dr. Aku is a committed academic and researcher with over two decades of combined experience in banking and higher education. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (2021), an M.Sc. in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria (2016), an MBA from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye (2007), and a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Second Class Upper) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1999).
Since transitioning into academia, Dr. Aku has served in various academic and administrative roles. At Prime University, Abuja, he is a Lecturer I in the Department of Business Administration, as well as Coordinator of Remedial & Consultancy Services and Course Adviser for Business Administration and Actuarial Science.
Dr. Aku is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and an Associate of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria. He has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed journal articles in reputable local and international journals.
His research focuses on corporate governance and its impact on efficiency in manufacturing industries, particularly cement manufacturing, as well as capital market studies. Through his teaching, research, and mentorship, he continues to contribute significantly to business education and professional practice in Nigeria.
